Vests: Fabric Collage

About 20 different fabrics are used in the design of these vests.  The front panels are made using small, irregularly cut fabric pieces (secured to the backing with rows of twin-needle stitches) and a piece of velvet at the bottom.  To provide some three-dimensionality, a rope of several different yarns is stitched (couched) on top.  Piping, using a matching color, frames the fabric collage.  The back is raw-silk like fabric.  The vests feature side slits for comfortable fit.  Fully-lined.

Fabric:  Cotton, silk, brocade, velvet, metallic.
